How do I cite content I find in TDS Health searches?
Download Citations
Citations for use in research papers can be generated by clicking the "Download Citations" button on the toolbar at the top of the document. In addition to that, at the bottom of every document is a "(+/-) Show/Hide Bibliography" link. The Show/Hide link will produce the bibliography for you.
Exporting Citations
Once you've gotten to the "Download Citations" pop-up tool, STAT!Ref can export citations suitable for use in RefWorks, EndNote, or a large variety of reference management systems using the BibTex and/or RIS citation file formats. The options available here are:
1) Download RefWorks Citation File - Citations downloaded using this option are downloaded as MARC records. When importing into RefWorks, choose "MARC Format" as your import filter and "STAT!Ref Marc Format" as the Database.
2) Export Directly to RefWorks - Using this option will take you directly to the RefWorks website. After logging in to your RefWorks account, the citation will automatically be added to your references list.
3) Download EndNote Citation File - Citations downloaded using this option are downloaded as tagged "EndNote Import" files. To import the file in to the EndNote application, use the import option "EndNote Import".
4) Download RIS Citation File - Citations downloaded using this option are downloaded as tagged RIS files. To import the file in to any of the large number of reference management systems that support this format, use the import option provided in each system and navigate to the "*.ris" file that you have downloaded here.
5) Download BibTex Citation File - Citations downloaded using this option are downloaded as tagged BibTex files. To import the file in to any of the large number of reference management systems that support this format, use the import option provided in each system and navigate to the "*.bib" file that you have downloaded here.
Plain Text Citations
A plain text citation appears below the export options in the Bibliographic Citations panel. Simply highlight the text, copy (Ctrl-C), and paste (Ctrl-V) the text into your document.
