How do I use the Link Wizard on the TDS Health platform?

The Link Wizard allows you to create direct login links to various locations in STAT!Ref titles and resources. The links include html markup and are suitable for inclusion in your own web page. You may access the Link Wizard from the "Tools" menu near the top left of the "Home" page. There is a link named "Link Wizard" which redirects to the link creation page.

 

The Link Wizard allows you to create links to the various STAT!Ref products for which you are subscribed. This can include the following types of login links:

• Simple login link
• Titles link
• Link to specific title(s)
• Dictionary link
• EBMCalc link
• Anatomy.tv link (if available with your subscription)
• Search Box (simple)
• Search Box (advanced)
• Predefined search

 

The "Search Box" links are for a box that you can place on your website where you can type in a search query and then automatically log in to STAT!Ref and perform the search.

 

First, navigate to the Link Wizard. Next, follow these steps:

1. Select the authentication method. The links you create can be configured to use any of the standard STAT!Ref authentication methods. For security reasons, it is recommended that you do not use the username and password authentication method because the password appears in plain text in the link. To choose an authentication method, simply select the appropriate option from the drop-down list.
2. Select the link type. Choose the appropriate link type from the drop-down list.
3. Customize the link. The options available here vary by type of link. Simply choose from the options presented and follow any onscreen instructions.
4. Generate the html. Click the "Generate HTML" button and then use your browser's "copy" function to copy the html text that appears.
