What is a personal profile on the TDS Health platform?
Learn how to access STAT!Ref content from anywhere and use the other features of a personal profile.
Setting up a profile personalizes your institution’s STAT!Ref subscription to make it unique to you. When you set up a profile, you can create a customized experience with favorite documents or searches, recent searches, emailed Evidence Alerts and much more. You can enable your profile/anywhere login account (temporary STAT!Ref login) for mobile access and to well, log in from anywhere! Account Settings
From your Profile you can view and edit your settings including changing your username (email address) or password. Please note: your profile is setup to enable anywhere access and if you change the listed email address or password, then the new value(s) will also be what you must use to log in.
Anywhere Login Account
Activate and renew a temporary STAT!Ref login. Why do we call it a temporary STAT!Ref login? Activating the temporary STAT!Ref login account will provide you the ability to login to your institutional subscription via a username (email address) and password on your mobile device, remote laptop, tablet, desktop, etc. This account is the same as your anywhere login account. The temporary STAT!Ref login email address and password become a login account, temporarily. Temporary login accounts expire 90 days from initial setup, by default. Your institutions decision maker, in regards to STAT!Ref, can request to make the expiration shorter or longer from 30 days up to 365 days.
Preferences
Under preferences, you can choose your default dictionary if more than one is available in your subscription. You can also set which website is displayed when you log out of the TDS Health platform.
Search Sets
Profile users have the ability to create their own personal search sets. Initially, this will be empty, click [Add New Search Set] and enter a name such as "Drug Info." Next, click the name you just created and your available title list will appear. Check the box next to each title you want saved to your search set. Click the "Save & Close" icon and your search set will be saved. To use your search set, under "FILTER BY" on the main search page, use the drop list under "All Titles" to select your search set and then type in your search term(s) and search. Only the titles in your search set will be searched for results.
Alerts
Sign up for STAT!Ref alerts. STAT!Ref provides alerts which you can sign up to receive via email or by subscribing to the RSS versions of the service. STAT!Ref Evidence Alerts cover a range of healthcare disciplines that can be chosen delivering relevant and meaningful EBM information focused on your healthcare interests, helping with your clinical decisions. Available via e-mail alerts or via the STAT!Ref Evidence Alerts RSS. Choose alert criteria within Medical, Nursing and Rehabilitation disciplines.
For subscribers of Essential Evidence Plus (EE+), Daily POEMs (“Patient-Oriented Evidence that Matters”) are e-mail alert synopses of new evidence carefully filtered for relevance to patient care and evaluated for validity. Daily POEMs emerge from continuous review, grading, and critical appraisal of all 3,000+ studies published monthly in more than 100 journals.
Favorites
During your use of STAT!Ref you can add content to your favorites so that you can quickly and easily find it again. Favorites are managed through your profile.
