Favorites allow you to bookmark and annotate documents and searches. A Favorite can be attached to almost any paragraph in any title in your subscription. Favorites can also be attached to a search results page, allowing you to bookmark and annotate a specific search.
Search Notes
A Favorite created while viewing a search results page records the exact search terms and any search settings used to perform the search. You can later use this Favorite to run the same search again. To create a Search Note, first run a Search. While viewing the Results page, click the "Save This Search" link at the bottom of the filter controls on the left of the results page. You may then enter any notes you would like to include.
Paragraph or Document Notes
Content Notes
A Favorite that is created while viewing a document, content from a STAT!Ref title, is attached to a paragraph. You can later use this Favorite to return to that exact paragraph if the paragraph has not been removed or lost due to a content update.
Creating a Paragraph Note
While viewing a document, select "Favorites" from the toolbar and click "Add Favorite" from the menu that appears. A pop-up allowing a name to be entered appears and includes the checkbox option to "Create an annotation at this location," allowing notes to be added to the Favorite.
Adding Custom Text
When you create a new Favorite, the name for that note is automatically filled in based on where you attach the note. You can replace this text with your own custom text if you wish.
Accessing Previously Created Favorites
There are several ways to access previously created Favorites. When viewing any content document, the Favorites menu appears at the top of the content area and will allow you to List Favorites, displaying all Favorites created. The menu for your personalized Profile account displays at the top of every window with the message Welcome Joe!, assuming your name is Joe. Select Favorites in this menu to display the complete list of your Favorites, allowing you to jump to any of the documents or search results.
Deleting Favorites
To delete a previously created Favorite, click the icon on the note. Warning: deleted Favorites are not recoverable.
